In a post on X, Bharadwaj said his phone had been seized by the ED, leaving him unable to use WhatsApp. He thanked those who stood by him through the night.
“Thank you! My WhatsApp is not working and my phone has been taken by the ED, so I am thanking everyone through X for not leaving my house until 2:30 am. Until 2 am, party leaders Arvind Kejriwal ji, Sanjay Singh ji and others kept checking in on me… our family needs nothing more than this,” he wrote.
The former Delhi health minister also acknowledged the solidarity shown by AAP workers across different wings of the party, as well as supporters on social media. “You all have given me and my family a lot of strength. My sisters in AAP stayed back late into the night, braving heavy rain. Thank you very much,” he added.
On Tuesday, the ED conducted searches at 13 locations in Delhi-NCR, including Bharadwaj’s residence, under Section 17 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002. The action is linked to alleged irregularities in hospital construction projects in the capital.
