A tiny UK island boasts stunning turquoise waters and is one of the quietest places in Great Britain, data suggests. St Agnes is a sparsely populated islet in the Isles of Scilly, located off the coast of south west England. Measuring only a mile or so across, its believed to have a population of less than 100 and is beloved for its unspoiled landscape, with "rocky outcrops on its exposed west side to paradise beaches in its more sheltered coves" as per Visit Isles of Scilly.
The website describes the island as "astonishingly peaceful", something visitors can experience by taking a short boat ride from nearby St Mary's. Ordnance Survey data analysed by The Telegraph shows there are statistics to back up St Agnes' reputation as a haven for quiet and calm. With only some 82 registered addresses, the island was found to the emptiest spot in England, Scotland and Wales according to the national mapping agency's definition.

Popular beaches on the island include Bar, Beady Pool and Periglis Cove.
And while you may not find hotels on the island, there are reportedly plenty of family-run guest houses.
Those looking for a trip with fewer thrills can also camp, with sites including Troytown Campsite offering views across the Atlantic.
Visitors can also rent kayaks and stand-up paddleboards to explore the local coves.
The isles also have an extraordinary wealth of wildlife.
Annet is said to be a great spot to catch sight of various kinds of seabirdd and you may even spot a puffin in May and June.
Visitors also rave about Turks Head a pub on the island that stakes its claim as the most South Westerly boozer in the British Isles.
Scilly forms part of the ceremonial county of Cornwall, but the islands have had their own separate local authority since 1890.
