Meghan Markle has had a busy few days in New York City and was pictured various times out and about in the Big Apple. While many of her appearances were alongside her husband Prince Harry, Meghan also stepped out solo on a few occasions.
One of these occurred just days ago, when Meghan reportedly met the new editor of American Vogue in a Manhattan hotel. Prince Harry is not believed to have accompanied his wife to this meeting.
While unconfirmed by the duchess herself, the meeting between Meghan and the new editor, Chloe Malle, is believed to have taken place at the Whitby Hotel in NYC.
As reported by The Daily Mail, the meeting was held privately "in a quiet corner".
This is believed to be an interesting move, as it was reported just last month that Malle, 39, had followed Meghan, 44, on Instagram.
While a Vogue cover is not yet confirmed, it is believed Meghan could be working her way towards appearing on the magazine.
This would be an interesting move, as Meghan had previously reportedly fallen out with Vogue editorial teams under the editorship of Anna Wintour.
This is reportedly because Meghan had a series of demands after being offered "extensive features across the magazine and its digital editions" in 2022.
A source once told Page Six: "Meghan asked for control over [the] photographer, writer, final edit, photos, cover lines, and wanted a global issue. Nobody gets that. Not even Beyonce."
When her demands were not met by Edward Enninful, who was editor-in-chief of British Vogue at the time, Meghan reportedly had an online meeting with Wintour, with a source saying that "Anna wasn't interested".
It is believed this caused a rift between Meghan and the editorial team, with Meghan then pulling out of an entire feature as her demands were left unmet.
While it has since been rumoured that Wintour and the duchess do not get on as a result of this issue, these rumours were squashed when Meghan stepped out at Paris Fashion Week earlier this month and shared a warm exchange with Wintour.
