We love an air fryer in my house. It's easy to use, cooks food quickly, and uses less energy than the oven. Our little generic air fryer is more than four years old and is used almost every day.
So when Cosori reached out and offered the chance to test out their TurboTower 10.8L air fryer, I was only too happy to retire our old faithful for a sleek, new model. While I was initially worried that it wouldn't fit under the counter, I was quickly proven wrong as the compact size and shape of the Cosori TurboTower air fryer is like a little kitchen tardis. Instantly, my husband pointed out the vents and how they are designed to blow the air out sideways so you can have the air fryer more flush to the wall while cooking, which we agreed was ingenious and made it feel like they had really thought about how it was going to be used in a busy family kitchen.
And from there, we just loved it more and more. The digital interface on the Cosori TurboTower is so easy to use and it has a wide temperature range from 30°C to 230°C and features seven cook options: 'air fry', 'roast', 'bake', 'grill', 'reheat' and 'proof'.
The two basket settings are identical, simplifying operation and reducing the need for constant adjustments. While there are two drawers, you could cook in three layers with the metal grill provided for the second drawer.
Crisper trays and baskets are easy to insert and remove as with the lightweight baskets you can pull them out with ease, which also makes cleaning a breeze. The smooth baskets are so easy to wipe down after every use, you will never want to use a pan again.
The baskets are also shallow enough not to be cumbersome when adding and taking food out-something our older air fryer struggled with because of the depth.

While the first meal we tested was a standard chicken burger and chips, we instantly noted the difference in the quality of the cooking compared to our older model. There were no soggy spots-all the chips were crisp and evenly cooked thanks to the fast heating and air circulation.
The second meal was fresh salmon, which I would never have dared put in an air fryer before, thinking I would ruin an expensive cut of fish.
But using Mary Berry's method for a crispy coating of seasoned semolina, I added it to the Cosori TurboTower drawer for 20 minutes. Serving with some veg and giant cous cous, it had a delicious crumb with the soft salmon cooked to perfection.
And because I only used one drawer, I was able to use the other to cook my five-year-old a separate meal of fish fingers after he proclaimed "I don't want shrimp", despite me telling him three times it was salmon.
But can it do cakes? Yes, yes it can.
Using the bake function I added some banana bread mix in cupcake cases and it resulted in a lovely light sponge so I made more and they were devoured by the small horde of teenagers I had in the house as a consequence of the summer holidays.
15 minutes for perfect banana cakes, by now I was so impressed with the Cosori TurboTower air fryer I was thinking of throwing away the oven.
I also made crispy chickpeas as a perfect, healthy snack and the air fryer cooked sausages till they were golden brown on all sides. Because of the shallow basket design, which brings food closer to the heating element for better heat radiation, I didn't even have to turn them halfway.
And it did roast potatoes so well, I am not sure I will ever bother turning on the gas ever again.
The Cosori TurboTower 10.8-litre capacity means there is plenty of space to add enough food for two to five people.
And because of the dual-basket design, you can cook two different foods at the same time with independent cooking zones, one evening I had cakes in one and sausages in the other.
The drawers are also super easy to clean, the non-stick baskets just wipe clean with ease so you don't need to scrub.
Cosori TurboTower 10.8L air fryer isavailable from Amazon or the Cosori website in dark grey and silver for £239.99, although stock has been limited at the time of writing.
While it is on the more expensive side, I think it is worth the money for the even cooking, easy cleaning and sleek design.
However, there are other air fryers available, such as the 7.6L Ninja Double Stack Air Fryer which is currently on offer on Amazon for £201, down from £229.99.
Or you could opt to try out an 11L Vortx XL Dual Stack Air Fryer for £99 also at Amazon.
