Gogglebox was inundated with complaints as fans were left furious over a number of new additions. The Channel 4 programme returned with a brand new series on Friday (September 5) and with that came the arrival of five new families.
A preview for the upcoming series was shown at the beginning of the episode, featuring friends Jake, 27, and Calum, 31, from Glasgow, married couple Andrew, 62, and Alfie, 32, who reside in The Cotswolds and the Gordon family, made up of couple Andre, 49, and Sarah, 47, as well as their 25-year-old daughter Chee.
Viewers will also be introduced to Sara, 87, and her daughter-in-law Lara, 58, and sisters, Rosie, 68, and Susie, 70, who hail from Edinburgh.
But before the programme had properly begun, fans flocked to social media to complain about the new arrivals, with some even claiming the show had been "ruined" because of it.
"I haven't seen any of the new people yet, but they can all go away please," one fumed as a second agreed: "I already dislike the new people."
"Who are all these new people??!!!" exclaimed a third as another raged: "Oh, I can't be doing with new people. They always ruin it."
