The incident took place during Emraan Hashmi’s appearance on Karan Johar’s chat show 'Koffee With Karan'. In the Rapid Fire Round, Karan asked, “Whose name comes to your mind when you hear the word plastic?” Emraan bluntly replied, “Aishwarya Rai.”

The comment shocked fans and created quite a stir. Aishwarya was reportedly upset by the remark. Facing backlash, Emraan later apologized and explained that he was under pressure to win the rapid fire segment and gave the answer impulsively.

In the same episode, Emraan took another dig—this time at Ranbir Kapoor. Referring to his playboy image at the time, Emraan called him a “ladies man” and even advised Katrina Kaif, who was dating Ranbir then, to “leave him.” His comment only added fuel to the ongoing gossip around Ranbir’s relationships.
