Tom Cruisehas successfully completed another 'Mission Impossible' - after managing to buy tickets to see Oasis this weekend for himself and a large group of friends.

The actor will be one of many A-list celebrities expected to watch the band fronted by Liam and Noel Gallagher at London's Wembley Stadium on the latest leg of their sold out tour.

Millions of fans tried unsuccessfully to get tickets, while others had a 4 tickets per person limit. But Hollywood actor Tom has pulled in some favours and got up to 20 tickets for himself and his pals.

A source close to the band said: "Tom Cruise is used to seeing some spectacular things in Hollywood and on film sets, but he has heard the new Oasis show is out of this world and was very keen to see it for himself. There are no stunts involved, but the atmosphere will be electric.

"Tom is excited to see the gig, and his friends were thrilled he was able to offer them tickets too. They are hard for even the biggest and richest people to secure.

"He is taking up to 20 people with him, and must be one of the few people on this tour who will be able to attend with such a big group.

"The story of the reunion between Liam and Noel after almost two decades would also make a great film script. So, perhaps if Tom gets the chance, he can speak to the boys about an Oasis movie. It would surely be a box office hit after the success of this tour."

Cruise, 63, is perhaps best known for his Mission Impossible films. He played fictional agent Ethan Hunt in eight Mission: Impossible films.

Oasis are returning to perform at Wembley Stadium for the first time since July 12, 2009, during their Dig Out Your Soul tour. They will play a total of five nights there.

Competition for an all important spot at the barriers has been tough during Oasis' comeback gigs so far. And Wembley was no different with fans forming a queue hours before the group were due on stage yesterday.

The sell out tour began with two nights in Cardiff, which was followed by five homecoming gigs in Manchester's Heaton Park. The band's two hour shows have earned five star reviews across the board and it's been dubbed the rock 'n' roll reunion of the decade.

Celebrities at other gigs so far have included actors Sienna Miller and Matt Smith in the crowds in Cardiff, as well as Manchester City stars Pep Guardiola, Phil Foden and Rodri in Manchester. And many more famous faces are expected to be at the gigs in London this weekend.
