Hearing their story, the likes of Annie, who appears on the show with her husband Ronnie, and Lee's best friend Jenny were left sobbing.
The sofa critics watched a clip from documentary programme Long Lost Family, which followed 58-year-old Peter, a widower from Lancashire, who was placed by his father at the age of six months.

He was raised by foster parents in Preston, but wanted to find more about his biological family after he discovered social services' documents that mentioned the name "Trevor".
Peter soon learned he had an older brother by that name, and wanted to find him.
Having tracked down his birth-father, Peter found out how he was separated from his brother and mother, learning that his father snatched him from his mother's arms as the train doors shut when she was leaving with both Trevor and Peter.
"We got on the train to get away from my dad, you could see it in my mum's face, when she spoke about it, it hurt her, she always said she regretted it, not going back for him," Trevor revealed.
Wiping away tears watching that moment, Annie said: "She's probably held that inside her for the rest of her life."
Watching Peter and Trevor reunite, Jenny sobbed, "Look at them smile," while best friends Abbie and Georgia also teared up.

Meanwhile Ellie joked to her sister Izzi: "I think it would take me not seeing you for 58 years to hug you."
"It was tissues at the ready for more emotional reunions on ITV1," the Gogglebox narrator had warned.
A member of one of the new families on the show, Andre, who stars alongside his wife and daughter, also admitted he may start "shedding a tear", adding: "It's quite sad sometimes."
Gogglebox airs Fridays at 9pm on Channel 4.
