Children's Health: There are many people whose day starts incomplete without sipping tea. After drinking hot tea, the day gets a kick start. When parents sit nearby and drink tea, they also give the child a cup of tea with salty snacks or biscuits. But, is tea good for the child's health? Children's doctor Rahul Agarwal has shared one such recipe on his Instagram account, in which he explained the effect tea has on the child's health. Parents should listen to Dr. Agarwal.
Should tea be given to the child or not? | Is It Okay To Give Kids Tea
Dr. Agarwal says that tea should not be given to children. If a small child, like a child weighing 10-12 kg, is given a cup of tea, then he will not eat food after that. The child will eat salty snacks or biscuits, but does not eat dal or rice. If the child is given tea in the morning or evening, the child's hunger dies.
If a child is given tea, then due to not eating pulses, fruits, or vegetables, there is a lack of essential nutrients in their body. Due to this, the weight of the child remains low, anemia can occur, or due to not having good food, the child falls ill again and again. In such a situation, the doctor advises that the child should not be made to develop the habit of drinking tea.
These problems can also occur.
If a child is given tea, then there may be a lack of water in his body. Dehydration causes many health problems.
The child's sleep is disturbed due to caffeine consumption. Even if a little tea or coffee is given to the child, keep in mind that you also give him water several times a day.
The child does not get any kind of nutrients from tea. That is why instead of filling the child's stomach with tea, give him a nutritious breakfast to eat.
Just as adults become victims of tea addiction by drinking tea, similarly children can also become tea addicts. This addiction to tea is considered a kind of intoxication. In such a situation, the child should not be made addicted to tea.
