The much-awaited trailer for Coolie starring Rajinikanth, Aamir Khan, Nagarjuna, Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj and others was released recently by its makers.

Despite being one of the most anticipated films with an impressive star cast, the trailer of Coolie failed to leave a lasting impression on the audience. Many viewers labelled it as ‘flat,’ criticising its lack of impressive shots and impact despite the hype surrounding it.

The trailer starts with an introduction to all the negative characters, where we mainly see Nagarjuna, Sathyaraj, and Aamir Khan.

Rajinikanth, then, makes a grand entrance and reduces all the villains to dust, one by one.

As mentioned above, social media users are bashing the Coolie trailer, saying they expected more from a Lokesh Kanagaraj and Rajinikanth collaboration.

One user reacted, “Coolie trailer is visually slick but doesn’t do much to boost the hype. Anirudh’s BGM surprisingly falls flat. On the bright side, they’ve kept the plot under wraps.”

Another reacted, “I remember Loki saying he had implemented a new style of flashback in #coolie May be we will see Rajinikanth in this de aging look and get deva backstory, But overall disappointed with the trailer cut. The dark tones and overall premise is not giving a hit vibe. It seems like a story of group of friends taking revenge over their friends d*th. Lets see if they intentionally underplayed the trailer to surprise us in the theatre.”
