There's great news for candidates preparing for railway recruitment. The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has approved recruitment for 8,875 posts under the Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) for the year 2025. These positions will be filled across various railway zones. This recruitment process will fill positions such as Station Masters, Goods Guards, Commercial Clerks, Accounts Clerks, Junior Typists, Trains Clerks, Senior Clerks cum Typists, Traffic Assistants, and other non-technical positions.
RRB NTPC recruitment will be conducted in several stages, including a computer-based examination, a skill test, document verification, and a medical examination. Candidates must pass all stages to be selected. The Railway Recruitment Board will soon release a detailed recruitment notification. Applications will be accepted online only through the respective regional RRB websites.
RRB NTPC New Vacancy 2025: Who can apply for these posts?
Of the total 8,875 posts, 5,817 are reserved for graduate candidates, while 3,058 are for candidates who have passed 12th from any recognized board. The age limit will vary for different posts. Candidates in reserved categories will be given relaxation in the upper age limit as per government rules.
RRB NTPC Recruitment 2025: How many posts for whom?
The highest number of vacancies in the RRB NTPC recruitment is for Goods Train Manager (3,423 vacancies). This is followed by Junior Accounts Assistant-cum-Typist (921) and Station Master (615). Other positions include Senior Clerk-cum-Typist (638), Chief Commercial-cum-Ticket Supervisor (161), and Traffic Assistant in Metro Railway (59). There are 2,424 posts for Commercial-cum-Ticket Clerk, 394 for Accounts Clerk-cum-Typist, 163 for Junior Clerk-cum-Typist, and 77 for Trains Clerk.
RRB NTPC 2025 Selection Process: What is the NTPC Selection Process?
Under the RRB NTPC recruitment, applicants will be selected through CBT 1, CBT 2, skill tests, etc. Only candidates who qualify in the CBT 1 exam will be eligible to appear for the CBT 2 exam. A total of 100 questions will be asked in the CBT 1 exam, including 40 from General Awareness, 30 from Mathematics, and 30 from General Intelligence and Reasoning. The total time duration will be 90 minutes.
