Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2025: A great opportunity has come to join the Indian Coast Guard (ICG). The Coast Guard has released a notification for recruitment to 170 posts of Assistant Commandant for the 2027 batch. These recruitments will be done for General Duty (GD), Technical Mechanical, and Technical Electrical/Electronics branches. Interested and eligible male candidates can apply online by visiting joinindiancoastguard.cdac.in.

The application process for this recruitment has started from 8 July 2025, and candidates can apply till 23 July 2025 at 11:30 pm.

The vacancies are as follows:

A total of 170 posts will be recruited in the Indian Coast Guard under this recruitment drive. Of these, the maximum 140 posts are for General Duty (GD), while 30 posts have been reserved for the Technical branch (which includes Engineering, Electrical, and Electronics).

Educational Qualification and Subject Requirements

Candidates applying for the post of Assistant Commandant General Duty (GD) should have a Bachelor's degree with at least 60% marks from a recognized university. Also, studying Maths and Physics subjects in class XII is mandatory. For Technical Branch (Engineering, Electrical, Electronics), candidates should have a BE/B. A tech degree in the relevant subject, and should have studied Maths and Physics in the 12th as well.

Age Limit and Important Instructions

Candidates should be between 21 and 25 years of age, which will be calculated on the basis of 1 July 2026. Accordingly, the date of birth of the candidates should be between 1 July 2001 and 30 June 2005. Candidates are advised to read the official notification carefully before applying.

Salary details

Candidates selected for the post of Assistant Commandant in the Indian Coast Guard will be given a salary under Pay Level-10. Accordingly, they will get a salary of Rs 56,100 every month. Apart from this, other allowances and facilities will also be provided as per the rules of the Central Government.

Application fee information

To participate in this recruitment process, candidates of the General, OBC, and EWS categories will have to deposit the ₹ 300 application fee through online mode. No fee will be charged from SC and ST category candidates. Fee payment can be made by debit card, credit card, or net banking.

Click on the "New Registration" option and register with your name, mobile number, email, etc.

After registration, log in with the given user ID and password.

Fill in all the required information like personal details, educational qualification, category, etc.

Upload photo, signature, and other required documents in the prescribed format and size.
Pay the application fee through online mode as per category (if applicable).
After checking all the details, submit the form and take a printout of it for future reference.
