BPSC MVI Exam 2025: Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced the dates of the examination to be held for Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI) posts. This exam will be conducted on 9th and 10th August 2025. BPSC has conducted this examination for the recruitment taken out under advertisement number 41/2025 under the Transport Department of the state.

This recruitment drive is being conducted to fill 28 posts of Motor Vehicle Inspector. This post is in the Transport Department of Bihar Government. BPSC has informed that the admit cards for the examination will be released soon on the official website of the commission bpsc.bihar.gov.in.

According to the schedule released by BPSC, the Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI) exam will be conducted on two days i.e. 9th and 10th August 2025. On August 9 (Saturday), the exam will be held in two shifts. The first shift will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, and the second shift will be held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. On August 10 (Sunday), the exam will be held in only one shift, which will run from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon. Candidates are advised to reach the examination center on time so that they can appear in the exam without any hindrance.

Pay Scale
Under this recruitment drive, the selected candidates will be appointed to the post of Motor Vehicle Inspector. The pay scale for this post has been fixed at Level-6, which will be in accordance with the government pay scale structure. The selected candidates will also receive dearness allowance, HRA and other allowances along with basic pay.
What will be the selection process?
Candidates will be selected on the basis of written examination and interview. The exam will be based on three subjects:
General Studies – 100 marks
Automobile or Mechanical Engineering – 100 marks
Motor Vehicles Rules and Regulations – 100 marks
Each paper will be objective and multiple choice (MCQ) with a duration of 2 hours.
