Arsenal are moving even closer to finally completing the signing of a striker this summer.
The Gunners have been linked with bringing a centre forward to the Emirates Stadium, with Viktor Gyokeres seemingly the player identified to be added to Mikel Arteta's squad.
Gyokeres has been mentioned as a target for Arsenal for several months, with the Gunners now stepping up their interest in signing the Sporting Lisbon star.

Personal terms are thought to already be close to being agreed between Arsenal and Gyokeres, with the Gunners still needing to agree a fee with Sporting to bring the striker to North London.
Gyokeres is valued at around £70million by Sporting, with the striker also having an £86million (€100million) release clause in his contract.
If Arsenal do manage to agree a deal for Gyokeres and match Sporting's valuation, it would be very close to what the striker's market value is currently.
Transfermarkt states that Gyokeres is valued at €75million (£64.5million), which is the highest it has been during the striker's career in professional football. The last time there was an increase in Gyokeres' value was in December last year from the original figure of €70million (£60.2million).
It seems that if Arsenal do agree to meet Sporting's asking price for Gyokeres, they would be paying a slightly higher fee than the striker's current market value. There is also the possibility that Gyokeres enjoys a successful first season with the Gunners that will force his market to increase yet again.
Arsenal still have plenty of time to agree a deal to sign Gyokeres this summer, with the deadline set for September 1.
The Gunners will want to bring the striker to the Emirates as soon as possible for pre-season training, while also being mindful of the Premier League opener against Manchester United on August 17.
